Where is the house located?

The house is located at Rua da Fontinha nº141, Cabreiros, Rio de Frades, 4540-243 Arouca, in a quiet area of Serra da Freita, surrounded by nature and stunning landscapes.

– Arouca town centre: approximately 25 minutes by car (15 km)
– Porto city centre: approximately 1h15 by car (75 km)
– Lisbon: approximately 3h40 by car (320 km)

The location offers the perfect balance between tranquillity and accessibility, making it easy to explore the main attractions of the Arouca Geopark and the northern region of Portugal.

What is the capacity of the house?

The house can accommodate up to 6 guests in three bedrooms, which can be configured with 3 double beds or 6 single beds, upon request. An extra bed can be provided upon request, and the sofa bed can accommodate 1 additional person if needed. Baby cots are also available upon request.

When can we check in?

Check-in can be done from 16:00. Whenever possible and subject to availability, we will be happy to offer early check-in upon prior request.

What is the check-out time?

Check-out must be completed by 10:00 a.m. During high season, our cleaning team begins preparing the house for the next guests from that time onwards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Late check-out will only be possible with prior arrangement and approval.

What access and parking options are available for the house?

Due to the narrow streets of the village, there is no private parking next to the house and car access is not possible. The house is accessible on foot via two routes: a shorter and steeper one, and another slightly longer but more gentle. Depending on the chosen route, public parking is located between 200 and 400 meters from the house.

Can we bring pets?

Pets are only allowed with prior authorization. To ensure a comfortable and safe stay for everyone, we recommend a maximum of two pets per reservation.

Is the access suitable for people with reduced mobility?

Due to the characteristics of the village and its surroundings, the house may not be the most suitable option for people with reduced mobility. Public parking is located between 200 and 400 meters from the property, and access is via stone paths that are uneven in some areas and include sections with steep ascents and descents. However, the suitability of access will always depend on each guest’s individual needs and preferences, and it is up to each person to assess whether the conditions are compatible with their level of mobility and comfort.
